Fresh produce, homemade baked goods, local crafts, and community spirit will return to Middle Grove Park this June as the Greenfield Farmers Market prepares for another season.
Hosted by the Greenfield Historical Society, the weekly market runs Friday afternoons from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM throughout the summer and early fall months. Now in its ninth year, the market has become a beloved gathering point for Greenfield Center and surrounding hamlets including Porter Corners, Middle Grove, Lake Desolation, and Maple Avenue.
“The Farmers Market is about so much more than shopping,” said Historical Society president Linda Nessle. “It’s where neighbors catch up, kids play on the playground, and we all slow down and enjoy what makes Greenfield special.”
Vendors include farms from across Saratoga County offering seasonal fruits and vegetables, honey, maple syrup, eggs, and herbs. Artisan vendors bring handmade soaps, candles, pottery, and other crafts. Several local bakers are regular fixtures with fresh bread, pies, and pastries.
The market benefits from Middle Grove Park’s recently upgraded facilities, including resurfaced tennis and basketball courts, a renovated playground, and newly added pickleball courts. Families often make an evening of it, combining market shopping with park activities.
New vendors interested in participating can contact the Greenfield Historical Society through the Town of Greenfield website. Market updates and weekly vendor lineups will be posted on the Town’s social media channels throughout the season.
