Mark your calendars: registration for the Town of Greenfield’s popular summer day camp opens to Greenfield residents on Monday, March 3, with non-resident registration beginning March 13.
The five-week, morning-format camp has been a sellout hit for years, drawing families from across the region for its mix of traditional camp activities, trained counselors, and affordable pricing. The program welcomes students who have completed kindergarten through ninth grade.
“This camp is truly the heart of summer for Greenfield families,” said Recreation Director Jen Zeisler. “Many of our 30 counselors once attended this camp themselves, so there’s a real sense of tradition and community baked into the experience.”
The camp features a 2:10 counselor-to-camper ratio, with activities ranging from sports and swimming to arts and crafts, nature exploration, and special theme days. Parents can opt for early drop-off for an additional fee, and all campers are eligible for the town’s Free Lunch Program, served daily on-site after camp.
Scholarships are available for families who need financial assistance. Those interested should contact Zeisler directly at 518-893-7432, ext. 307.
Families can choose from five available weeks and may sign up for as many as they’d like. Registration is handled online through the Town’s recreation portal.
With limited spots and a track record of selling out, the Recreation Department strongly encourages early signup. Visit greenfieldny.myrec.com or call Town Hall for more details.
